Basics about Trout Fishing Lures
Since there are lots of trout fishing gear out in the market today, it’s really no surprise that there are also lots of trout fishing lures that you can choose from. This is why if it’s your first time to go trout fishing, then choosing the right lure might be a little too much to handle. If this your case, don’t think about quitting on trout fishing just yet because here are some tips that can help you choose the right trout fishing lures.
Trout fishing lures come in different shapes and colors. This is why there are some anglers who would say that a specific color is the best color to use when fishing for trout during certain times of the day. What you have to remember is that this theory is neither proven nor disputed. This means that it can actually be true.
Since this is the case, what you can do is keep track of the colors that you use every time you fish and how many fish you were able to catch with it. Also take note of the time of day that you used the specific color.
You don’t have to try each and every color in the free world. Just buy the trout fishing lures that are available near you.
On the other hand, one proven theory about trout fishing lures is that the bigger the lure, the bigger the catch. a one inch trout fishing lure can help you catch average sized trouts. While a spoon or trout fishing lure that is 4-6 inches are good for reeling in those big browns or lake trout that everybody loves to eat.
Creating some sort of disturbance in the surface of the water can actually attract fish which can make you trout fishing more effective. The disturbance can be as simple as a spinner near the surface making bubbles.
Another thing worth remembering about trout fishing lures is that you can always change it and you should change it if it’s not getting you any fish. Don’t stick with just one color or one size of trout fishing lure.
